If the lights remain on after the scooter is switched off, first check that the light controls are not stuck and that the wiring harness has no visible damage, corrosion, moisture, or loose connectors. If these checks are normal, the light control module may be faulty.
This guide applies only to JOYOR S-Series scooters equipped with turn signals and fitted with the light control module shown in the video. Connector colors, pin counts, mounting positions, and module part numbers may vary by model and production batch.

Switch off the scooter, disconnect the charger, and allow the electrical components to cool. Prepare the correct replacement module, suitable screwdrivers or hex keys, heat-resistant double-sided tape, and a phone for photographing the original wiring.
Both the main controller and the light control module generate heat. Do not stack them or install them directly against each other.
1. Remove the Front Deck Cover
Remove the fixing screws from both sides and the bottom of the front deck cover. Carefully lift the cover away without pulling on the wiring behind it.
Inside the compartment, you will find:
- The main controller with a silver metal housing
- The smaller light control module
- Connectors for the headlight, taillight, side lights, and controller
2. Identify the Wiring
Take a clear photo before disconnecting anything. The connections shown in the repair video are:

Wire colors may vary between production batches. Always compare the connector shape, pin count, and original position. Never force a connector into a socket.
3. Transfer the Connectors

Disconnect one plug
Unplug one connector from the old module while holding the plastic connector body, not the wires.

Connect it to the new module
Find the matching socket on the replacement module and insert the connector fully.

Continue one at a time
Repeat the process for the headlight, taillight, both side lights, and the main controller connection.

Remove the old module
Once every connector has been transferred, remove the faulty light control module.
Why transfer the plugs one at a time? This preserves the original connection order and reduces the chance of mixing up similar connectors.
4. Secure the New Module
Use heat-resistant double-sided tape to secure the new light control module on the opposite side of the compartment from the main controller. Leave sufficient space between the two components for heat dissipation.
- Make sure the module cannot move or rattle.
- Keep wiring away from screw holes and sharp cover edges.
- Do not leave the connectors under tension.
- Do not obstruct the controller's heat-dissipation surface.
- Make sure no wiring will be trapped by the cover.
5. Test and Reassemble
Before reinstalling the cover, switch on the scooter and check the headlight, taillight, and both side lights. Operate the light controls and confirm that every light responds correctly.
Switch the scooter off and verify that all lights turn off completely.
The lights should work normally while the scooter is powered on and switch off completely when the scooter is shut down.
After testing, switch the scooter off again, organize the wiring, and reinstall the front deck cover. Check that no cable is trapped before tightening the screws on both sides and underneath.
If the lights still remain on, recheck the connectors and confirm that the replacement module is compatible with your scooter. A damaged wiring harness or main controller may require further diagnosis.
