Note on Warranty & Returns: Once the kit is installed, the manufacturer's warranty on your scooter may become void. Please also note: once the kit has been fitted to the vehicle, the scooter is no longer in its original condition and cannot be returned. Installed components are likewise excluded from returns unless a material defect is present. The statutory right of withdrawal for unused, unmodified goods remains unaffected.

Will this kit work with my Joyor T6E / T6E PRO?

This kit is specifically engineered for the Joyor T6E and T6E PRO (Germany ABE version) models. It is not compatible with other Joyor models or with non-ABE versions. Please verify your model number on the scooter's frame sticker before ordering. If you're unsure, contact us with a photo of your label and we'll confirm compatibility.

What's the difference between the three versions?

Controller & Display Upgrade (35 km/h): Replaces the stock controller and display to unlock the scooter's built-in higher-speed mode using the original motor.

Motor Upgrade Kit (50 km/h): Includes a 1000W motor along with the upgraded controller and display for higher top speed.

1000W Motor Add-on: Motor only — requires you to already have (or order) the Controller & Display Upgrade. Choose this if you've previously bought the controller kit and want to add the motor later.

Is it legal to use this kit on public roads in Germany / the EU?

No. The Joyor T6E / T6E PRO (ABE) is type-approved for use on German public roads at its factory-set top speed of 20 km/h. Installing this kit removes the ABE-compliant configuration, which means:

  • The scooter is no longer street-legal in Germany or other EU countries with similar regulations.
  • Your insurance (Versicherungskennzeichen) becomes invalid.
  • Using the modified scooter on public roads is an administrative offense and may result in fines, license points, or criminal liability in the event of an accident.

This kit is intended exclusively for use on private property, closed circuits, or in jurisdictions where such modifications are legally permitted. It is the buyer's sole responsibility to ensure compliance with local laws.

How difficult is the installation? Can I do it myself?

The kit uses plug-and-play connectors designed to match the T6E's original wiring harness — no soldering or cutting required. Most customers with basic mechanical skills can complete the installation in 30–60 minutes using standard tools. A step-by-step installation guide is included, and a video tutorial is available on our website. If you're not comfortable with the process, we recommend having it installed by a qualified e-scooter technician.

Can I revert to the original ABE-compliant setup later?

Yes — as long as you keep your original controller, display, and (if applicable) motor, you can reinstall them to restore the factory ABE configuration. We recommend storing the original parts in a safe place. Note that reverting does not automatically reinstate the manufacturer warranty.
